Security and trust is crucial for Amber. Plaintiffs should feel safe inputting important court information, and investors should feel comfortable making transactions on the site. Starting at the base level, we looked at the legal and court process for selling settlements. We needed to see if there was a need for Amber.

KEEPING IT REALWe had to determine what would be implemented based on our scope. This meant conducting a feature prioritization, open and closed card sort, and iterating countless ideas.
Incorporating this into a crowdfunding platform would be the next challenge requiring hours of iteration / ideation to create. |
RESEARCH PROCESS
SurveysOur survey aimed at plaintiffs allowed us to see what they found most beneficial about their settlements. Our respondents showed us why plaintiffs would choose to sell their settlements early.
|
Contextual InquiriesSpeaking, interviewing, and getting to know plaintiffs allowed us to get a grasp on what was most important to our users. We wanted to aim to providing what is in the best interest of our users.
|
InterviewsInterviews allowed us to see the motives of both the plaintiffs and investors. This helped in understanding what universal ideologies were all connected.

DESIGN |
Testing revealed that we needed to focus on the context and affordances. Buttons needed to be clearer, navigation needed to be precise, and the interaction needed to be flawless.
